Die strömungstechnisch perfekte Leichtbauweise

Libellenflügel bestehen aus einer feinen Haut, nur wenige Tausendstel Millimeter dünn, die zwischen ein Aderngerüst gespannt ist. Aerodynamisch betrachtet scheint das zunächst keine gute Konstruktion zu sein, weil durch das Gerüst viele störende Luftwirbel entstehen. Doch gerade diese Wirbel sind der Clou der Libellenflügel: Sie legen sich in die Vertiefungen zwischen den Adern, so dass die Strömung über die gesamte Fläche wieder glatt ist. Eine stabile und strömungstechnisch perfekte Leichtbauweise.
